Ready for the ultimate multisport adventure? If you’re eager to raft, bike, and hike—all in one epic day—then our BIG DAY OUT is calling your name!
Your adventure begins at the Pocono Whitewater Adventure Center, where you’ll check in and have the chance to grab a freshly brewed coffee or a hearty breakfast sandwich at the Broken Paddle Bar & Grill. Once you’re fueled up, meet your expert guides and get the full rundown on the adventure ahead.
Then, it’s time to dive into the action! Your journey kicks off with a 23-mile ride along the D&L Trail on a high-quality TREK bike. Pedal through the stunning Lehigh Gorge State Park, with the roaring Lehigh River beside you and towering 1,000-foot cliffs overhead, as you navigate the twists and turns of this scenic route.
As you roll into Glen Onoko Park in Jim Thorpe, take a well-earned break by the river and enjoy a delicious trail lunch—you’ll need the energy for what’s next! After refueling, lace up your hiking boots and trek to a breathtaking panoramic vista for an unforgettable view.
Now, get ready for the grand finale—whitewater rafting on the Lehigh River! Grab your paddle and conquer thrilling rapids as you glide past remnants of 18th-century dams and locks. With expert guides leading the way, you’ll take on every wave with confidence!
After an action-packed day, kick back at Pocono Whitewater and celebrate with a hot dinner, an ice-cold beer or soda (first one’s on us!), and a roaring bonfire to end your BIG DAY OUT on a high note!

Big Day Out Rates
- Individual – $124.99 (ages 13 & up)
BIG DAY OUT RATE INCLUDES
- Rail Trail bike ride on The D&L Trail
- Trek rental bike and helmet
- Guided hike to overlooks of the Lehigh River Gorge
- Class I, II and touch of Class III whitewater rafting trip
- All necessary rafting equipment, life jacket, full wet suit and splash jacket, if needed
- Change rooms
- Free parking

- Lunch (sub, Chex mix, cookies, water)

BIG DAY OUT TRIP NOTES
- Check in at Pocono Whitewater Rafting, 1519 State Route 903, Jim Thorpe.
- Most of our rafts accommodate 4 to 7 people. If you have less than 4 people in your group, there is a possibility you will be teamed up with other whitewater rafting guests.
- This is a physically demanding trip.
- Vegetarian and gluten-free meal options are available, please give us a call for details.
- If you’d like to have breakfast upon arrival, please give our office a call to have it added to your reservation.
- If you forget something, you can pick it up in our whitewater retail shop.
- Wear shoes that will not fall off your feet. Bare feet, flip flops, slides, or slippers are NOT permitted.
- Your photo is taken on the river and available for purchase in our store or online at PoconoWhitewaterPhotos.com.
