Social Media/Marketing Assistant

The Pocono Whitewater, Pocono Biking and Skirmish Marketing Assistant is responsible for maintaining online content and brand awareness for each of the companies.  Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Working with Marketing Director to create social media content, blog posts and website content on a daily and/or weekly basis to reach target consumers
  • Creating a publishing schedule to manage content and plan timely marketing campaigns
  • Posting to all social media outlets and developing new content and new outlets when deemed fit
  • Responding to guest inquires and questions that come through social media, email and various other sources
  • Assisting marketing department with trade shows and brochure distribution
  • Reporting and analyzing data to determine success of marketing tactics
  • Developing press releases and working with media when necessary
  • Conducting marketing research to identify new outlets for content
  • Posting to third party calendars of events
  • Assisting Marketing Director with group sales when needed

The Marketing Assistant must be energetic, forward thinking and able to work in a dynamic high traffic environment.  Additional requirements of the job include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media and SEO preferred
  • Proficiency in navigating online portals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Paying attention to detail
